Fall Fiction Contest -Save the Date

Some exciting news! On November 24th, I was nominated as a finalist for Southern New Hampshire University’s Fall Fiction Contest. I love doing writing contests. I’m ambitious and a competitive person, so doing these contests really pushes me to do more.

Out of 700 entries, it’s an honor to be one of the 5 finalist for this contest. I can’t really put into words how excited I am to be recognized like this. For my submission I took a gamble and wrote a horror-romance story that explores grief and how attached people can become. So I’m over the moon to be finalist with this story.

But, it’s not over just yet. On November 29th at 9am EDT to December 6th at 11:59pm EDT voting will be open to the public to determine the winner! Regardless of outcome, I am really excited to have my work featured in the Penmen Review, but I’d love to win the scholarship money. First place can win me $3,000 towards my MFA program.

I’ll be given the official voting link soon.

My piece is titled Sleeping Beauty.
